The parlor as it looks today! We stripped and stripped wallpaper…and then stripped some more. My sub-contractor and friend, Mike, was much more patient than I. (smile) After the wallpaper came down, I started researching paint colors that were popular in the late 1800s and early 1900s–in Victorian homes. I decided ‘gold’ was the perfect color for the parlor. Then, we tackled the avocado green
woodwork. The furnishings are a mixture of new and old. I love the round ottoman in the center of the room!
